Uncle Joe's Pizzeria


 

With a passion for Italian food, Marsha Duka took over the management of Uncle Joe's Pizzeria about a year ago. She learned how to cook while she was stationed in Sardinia. On the wall near the entrance are portraits of Marsha in uniform that attest to her service years.

"I loved cooking! No matter where I was stationed I tried to get hired, even by volunteering to work for free in restaurants in my off-time. I am a visual person, and I believe that the best way for me to learn is by observing and doing rather than reading recipes." Marsha said "Quality of the ingredients and authenticity are the main focus I strive to maintain when cooking." Marsha's (and her staff's) enthusiasm and friendliness are but one of the positive features that the pizzeria has to offer.

The menu goes well beyond pizza and includes calzones and strombolis, salads, pastas, sandwiches and home-made desserts like tiramisu and cannoli. Chicken Pomodoro is one of the big favorites.

Uncle Joe's also offers delivery, and catering is available. The restaurant's interior has recently been remodeled and there is a patio for those who prefer to dine outside.
